"Many people, myself among them, feel better at the mere sight of a book.”
As most of you know, I travelled to Vietnam and Cambodia in July. Some of you asked for some pictures. So, as promised here are some impressions from those two beautiful countries:
The first thing I noticed when I arrived in Vietnam were the millions of mopeds. Vietnam has 8 million inhabitans and 4 million mopeds. And the Vietnamese seem to know no limit when it comes to carrying things on their vehicles. By the way, the reason why the female Vietnameses are covered from head to toe is because they don't want to get a tan.
But here and there you can still see the traditional ways of transportation.
Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam. There but also everywhere else in Vietnam one can still see the traditional small, long houses.
We also went to the beach for a few days and let me tell you, Vietnam has some beautiful beaches!
The last couple days we went to Cambodia. Does anyone recognize this temple from Angelina Jolie's Tomb Raider?
If you ever have the chance to travel to Vietnam or Cambodia I highly recommend it!
