"Many people, myself among them, feel better at the mere sight of a book.”
June was not the best reading month for me. I worked way too much overtime and therefore had less time to read. I only read 4 books and 2 of them were audiobooks. Additionally, one of the books I finished on June 1st, so I pretty much read it in May.
Anyway, I’m halfway through Rebel Spring but have not been in the mood for it in the last week and a half. Let’s see if that improves before I go on my vacation.
Now this month’s favorites:
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
That decision was easy. I loved this book! My review has yet to come but let me just tell you, if you are not sure if you should read it or not, read it!
Warrior by Havana Brown
The first time I heard this song was during my Les Mills Sh’Bam class. It’s a dance class and last season this song was used for a dubstep dance. I absolutely loved it. It is so energetic.
Okay, I got sucked into this only last week and I absolutely love it. My favorite is of course Stiles. He cracks me up. I’m laughing out loud even though it is kind of on the darker side for a teenage show. I’m still on season 1 and am interested where the story goes.
I watched Pitch Perfect at the beginning of the month and while I enjoyed it, I have to say I liked Jurassic World better. I loved Jurassic Park when I was a kid and was really excited for this new movie. Funnily, every time I watch these movies, at the beginning I think: ‘I would like to visit a park like this and see the dinosaurs’ but then at the end I am always glad that parks like that don’t exsist.
